Families registered in the “Social Protection Single Registry.”

What is the processing time for utility assistance?

The evaluation by a social worker and the collective decision by the “Mahalla Seven” are carried out within 10 working days from the date the application is received.

Is this type of assistance provided for in the Regulation?

Yes. According to Clause 13 of the Regulation, funds from the fund may be directed toward other social purposes not listed, including utility payments, based on decisions by the Government and the Agency.

What is the legal basis for this assistance?

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 313, dated May 31, 2024.

How is the purchase confirmed?

Once the materials or devices are delivered, the recipient provides the seller with the SMS confirmation code received on their phone to finalize the process (Clause 37).

What if assistance was received from another fund?

If housing adaptation costs for the same period have already been covered by other social programs or sources, repeated assistance will not be provided (Clause 12).

How long does it take to review the application?

Is the delivery of materials free of charge?

Yes. The seller (entrepreneur) is responsible for delivering the selected construction materials and equipment to the recipient’s home (Clause 45).

The voucher issued for housing adaptation is valid for two months from the date of issuance (Clause 3).

What are the conditions for receiving help?

Eligibility is for individuals living alone, elderly persons living alone in need of care, and persons with disabilities registered as such. They must be in the Social Register or belong to a family where the average income per member does not exceed twice the minimum consumer expenditure (MCE).
