“Baraka” Project Presented at the “Inson Uchun – 2026” Festival

“Baraka” Project Presented at the “Inson Uchun – 2026” Festival

One of the year’s most significant events in the social sphere, the “Inson Uchun – 2026” (For the Human – 2026) festival, took place at the “Uzexpocentre” National Exhibition Complex in Tashkent. Held on May 12-13, this prestigious event brought together the most advanced solutions for building an inclusive society, modern education, and ensuring public employment.

One of the projects at the center of attention during the festival was the “Baraka” social card project under the National Agency for Social Protection. The project office team participated with their own stand, showcasing the digital transformation of the fundamental reforms in the country’s social system.

Project Manager Avaz Yusupov highlighted the essence and strategic importance of the “Baraka” project in his speech: “Our main goal is to create a transparent and convenient service system for citizens by fully digitizing social services provided by the state to reduce bureaucracy. ‘Baraka’ will become a holistic ecosystem serving human dignity, not just a means of payment.”

The practical presentation by Asad Panjiyev, Head of Training and Operations, garnered significant interest among participants. The specialist detailed the technical capabilities of the “Baraka” mobile app.

During the “Q&A” session organized at the conclusion of the festival, experts provided detailed answers to questions from citizens. Discussions emphasized the full implementation of the “Baraka” project across regions and its future enrichment with new functional capabilities.

The festival served as an important foundation for bringing the “Baraka” project closer to the people and shaping a modern, humanitarian image of the social protection system.

Lower Your Transfer Fees to 0% with Baraka!

Modern life is inseparable from money transfers. Whether you are sending tuition to your child, providing financial support to loved ones, or simply moving funds between cards—the Baraka app makes it happen in seconds.

But did you know you can save significant money by choosing the right transfer tariffs? Let’s explore the most cost-effective options available in the Baraka app.

0% Commission Between Baraka Cards

The Baraka social card is designed not just for receiving benefits, but also for making the most affordable—and even free—money transfers. Check out our commission rates below:

The Baraka Advantage

Typically, card-to-card transfer fees in other apps reach up to 1%. With the Baraka card:

  1. You eliminate fees entirely by transferring within the same bank.
  2. You save at least 0.5% on every transfer to other cards.

For example: If you transfer 1,000,000 UZS, a standard card might charge you 10,000 UZS in fees. With Baraka, that cost drops to just 5,000 UZS or is completely free.

Withdrawing Cash from ATMs

Please keep in mind that cash withdrawal commissions are set independently by the bank that owns the ATM, not by Baraka.

To save on fees, try to use ATMs belonging to the same bank that issued your Baraka card (e.g., Aloqabank, Xalqbanki). ATMs always display the commission amount on the screen before dispensing cash—be sure to check the screen before confirming your transaction.

Official Statement Regarding Social Benefit Payments

In response to inquiries on social media concerning delays in disability benefit payments, we would like to state the following:

Benefit payments are funded by our partner bank, Xalq Bank, and are transferred to Baraka cards in accordance with established procedures. In certain instances, short-term delays may occur due to technical processing.

We wish to inform you that regarding the specific inquiry mentioned, the payment has now been successfully credited to the citizen’s card.

For information: Starting from 2024, a Unified Social Card system is being phased in across Uzbekistan. Under this system, all social payments and benefits will be managed through social cards. The issuance and delivery of cards for pensioners are handled by Xalq Bank, while Aloqabank provides these services for students and schoolchildren.

As the Baraka Card team, we prioritize the timely and convenient delivery of all social payments and remain in constant coordination with our partner organizations to ensure this process.

Uzbekistani schoolchildren receive Baraka social cards for the first time!

On April 1, Baraka social cards were issued on a trial basis to students of School No. 365 in Tashkent. They can now use the Baraka social card as both a bank card and a transport card (similar to the ATTO card)

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the National Social Protection Agency, the Baraka Project Office, and Aloqabank.

During the event, participants learned about the card’s key benefits and how it can be used in daily life. The project aims to improve financial literacy among youth and integrate them into the national social support system.

Since 2024, Uzbekistan has launched a Unified Social Card system, with all social payments and pensions gradually migrating to this platform. The issuance and delivery of cards for pensioners are managed by Xalq Bank, while Aloqabank is responsible for serving and providing cards to students and schoolchildren.

Furthermore, in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 897 (dated December 28, 2024), social cards are now issued within just 3 working days and delivered directly to citizens by bank staff. This ensures a fast and convenient experience for every user.

What is a Social ID and what benefits does it provide you?

The Social ID is your unique digital identifier within the social services system.

Through it, your identity is verified in government information systems, and the social services, payments, and benefits assigned to you are managed.

Simply put, the Social ID is a personal digital profile created specifically for accessing and managing social services.

What is the function of the Social ID in the Baraka app?

All your social information in the app is managed through this ID.
It identifies the user precisely in the system.

The system automatically recognizes you through the Social ID.
No additional documents or information are required during this process.

Displays existing social benefits and allowances.
The Social ID shows which pensions, services, or other social assistance you are entitled to. This information is linked to a single profile.

Allows fast and convenient access to social services.
The Social ID connects all services into a single system. As a result, you can access services without unnecessary paperwork, waiting in lines, or repeatedly providing your information.

Simplifies monitoring and managing payments.
Through the app, you can view the social payments assigned to you, track their receipt dates, and monitor their status.

Where is the Social ID used?

The Social ID is used in various government and financial systems to identify citizens and manage the social services assigned to them.

In social protection agencies
The types of social assistance, benefits, and registration processes for a citizen are determined through the Social ID. This allows for quick access and verification of information.

For processing pensions and subsidies
When granting pensions, child benefits, financial aid, or subsidies, a citizen’s rights and status are checked based on the Social ID. This simplifies the process and reduces the likelihood of errors.

In banking processes (related to social cards)
For matters connected to cards receiving social payments, a person can be quickly identified using the Social ID. This enables faster banking services.

In digital government service systems
When submitting applications online, verifying information, or accessing social services through platforms, the Social ID serves as a single identifier.

What benefits does the Social ID provide to citizens?

The Social ID significantly simplifies and speeds up the process of accessing social services. The system automatically identifies the individual through the Social ID. In many cases, no additional documents or repeated information entry is required, saving time.

Since the data is stored in a single system, there is less need to submit the same documents multiple times to different organizations.

Citizens gain clear information about their assigned benefits, subsidies, or other social payments. It is easy to see which payments were made, when, and in what amount.

The Social ID links all social services to a single profile. As a result, service delivery is faster and queues are reduced.

Citizens’ social information is consolidated in a single system rather than scattered across multiple databases. This ensures accuracy and up-to-date information.

What is the QR code on the back of the Baraka card?

The QR code on the back of the Baraka social card is an identification code linked to the Social ID.

By authorized government officials
Only authorized personnel can use the QR code. Ordinary users cannot use this code for payments or other personal purposes.

In banking processes (related to the card)
For services connected to the social card, such as receiving benefits or subsidies, the QR code enables quick identification.
