Based on paragraph 19 of the Regulation, “expert consultant services on legal matters” from among the center’s staff will be assigned to her. The consultant explains to the woman which court to approach and the correct procedure for filing a claim.
In accordance with paragraph 30 of the Regulation, providing “legal and other services” to women accommodated in the center is a mandatory duty of the center. The center’s lawyers assist in preparing court documents to protect the woman’s rights.
Sub-paragraph “v” of paragraph 9 of the Regulation states that “Inson” centers are required to provide “legal services to affected women in accordance with the legislation.” In practice, preparing applications and lawsuits for court falls precisely within the scope of these legal services.
