What is the “Baraka” Social Card?

The social card is your bank card and identity document, which also performs the functions of a transport card, a disability document, and a student ID. You can carry it with you like a passport or ID card, and at the same time use it for shopping. Furthermore, the card indicates that a person belongs to one or more categories of the population in need of social protection. This card has been named “Baraka,” meaning the Baraka card is the unified social card in Uzbekistan. The Baraka card includes the Baraka mobile app. The social card is linked to and managed through the Baraka mobile app.

What benefits does it provide to citizens?
Through the Baraka social card, you can use the following public services and benefits:
Using preferential tariffs on public transport
Receiving funds for medical services, medicines, and prosthetic and orthopedic devices
Automatic transfer of social assistance, subsidies, and other payments to the card account
Connecting the card to a special terminal (POS or digital system) to process transactions when receiving payments or benefits

About the Baraka App
Through the Baraka mobile app, citizens can make various payments, identify and apply their benefits, and use various services. In addition, the app features a digital documents section. It stores 17 types of personal documents—ranging from identity documents to certificates and educational diplomas.

Who receives the “Baraka” Social Card for free?
Naturally, you may wonder whether you have to pay for the Baraka social card or if you can get it for free. The price of the card is 40,000 soms. However, the card can also be obtained without payment, provided you belong to one of the 15 categories of individuals approved by legislative acts. In other cases, you will receive the card after paying the amount set by the bank.

The “Baraka” card can be easily obtained through the Baraka app
You can submit an application for the Baraka card through the Baraka mobile app. This is one of the fastest and easiest ways because it streamlines the process. You download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store, follow the instructions sequentially, enter your identity verification information, and get the Baraka card. Alternatively, you can order the card through the “Inson” Social Services Center, Xalq Bank, or Aloqabank.

Once the application is approved, you can pick up the card from Xalq Bank or Aloqabank. The card can be used in both physical and electronic formats. For incapacitated individuals, the card is delivered directly to their home.

The NASP has launched a short-number hotline “1070” regarding issues related to obtaining and using the social card. You can call this number for additional information.

State authorities monitor the use of the card in real-time. Citizens can apply for services and receive funds remotely. The card’s security and privacy are guaranteed. Each card is protected by a unique number. Only registered services and benefits are accessed through the card; no other information is entered into the database.
