| Who can get it
Survivors, incapable of self-support, who suffered the loss of support as the result of their breadwinner’s death. Survivors of breadwinner may be their: a) children (siblings and grandchildren, who do not have able-bodied parents) under 18, and older if they have a disability from childhood; b) parents, stepparents, and spouse at the retirement age or with a disability; c) one of the parents, spouse, grandparents, or siblings, regardless of age and ability to work, who cares for the children, siblings or grandchildren of the deceased breadwinner (until they reach the age that entitles employees to be on unpaid leave for child care) and does not work; d) grandparents if they do not have people legally obliged to support them. Breadwinners’ children under 23 can also be survivors if they stay in approved education. |

How to apply To apply for survivor’s benefit, visit your Center of Public Services, “Inson” social services center, or claim online through a Single portal of interactive public services. |

Documents you need You only need to fill out and submit an electronic claim form. You don’t need any supporting documents to submit your claim. |

Application deadlines There are no specific deadlines. |

Eligibility assessment The eligibility assessment process is digitalized in the IS “Unified National Social Protection”. You’ll receive an SMS notification (the Center of Public Services notifies you if claimed in-person) about the outcome of the assessment to the phone number indicated in your claim form. |

You may receive a denial if: Via e-information exchange is not confirmed: 1) survivors; 2) a relation (parental or guardianship) between the legal representative applying and the survivor; 3) or dependents receive survivor’s pension. |

When and where the benefit is paid You’ll get your payments by transfer to a plastic card or in cash from the Xalk Bank’s (People’s Bank) branches. Visiting employees of the bank make cash payments in mahallas every month. |
