Who can get it

A citizen leaving prison may get the support package designed to help them transition from custody to the community. The support package is for financing entrepreneurship, architecture, or handicrafts projects.

How to apply

To apply for the support package, visit your Probation Office (Division of Internal Affairs). You should apply within 3 months of release.

Documents you need

You must attach your entrepreneurship, architecture, or handicraft project proposal to submit your application. The proposal should include what your business plans to do with the money allocated and the outcome you expect (estimated earnings).

What does the Probation Office do with your documents

The Probation Office, in 3 working days, submits the collected applications to the Interdepartmental Commission for review. The Commission is headed by the khakim of the district (or city).

For the projects confirmed for funding by the Commission, the Probation Office enters the details about the applicant into the “Single Registry of Social Protection”.

Eligibility assessment

The Commission assesses your project proposal based on the following parameters:

1) the effectiveness and profitability of the proposed project;

2) positive recommendation from mahalla;

3) low-income or living alone;

4) responsibility for bringing up a child who is under 18 or with a disability;

5) having many children (4 or more children) and the need for financial assistance;

6) homeless.

What if your project is denied funding

For the projects found inappropriate for funding, the Commission provides recommendations on improving the current project or proposing a new one.

Within 3 months, you can resubmit a revised project or a new one.

When and where the support package is paid

You’ll receive an SMS notification about the outcome of the assessment to the phone number specified in the application. You can get your payments from the Xalq Bank’s (People’s Bank) branches from the 5th to the 27th dates of the month.

There is no online application service available. Contact your Probation Office to apply.
